My DVRs all set so i can not only watch it live after prison break (also psyched), but watch it over and over again and hopefully figure out how to take some screengrabs for ya'll.

Today is mad busy, but everyone's talking about Vanished! It's been everywhere today- hopefully this is a sign of it's impending and conspiracy filled success!

Freemasonry

I've been watching the youtube videos on Vanished more and more and I can't help but think of this doc I saw on the discovery channel about the founding fathers and freemasons. The doc was all about how the ideals of the Freemasons were built into our early government, both ideologically and physically. They have this symbol, called a Masonic Square and Compass and the shape is built into how Washington DC is built- how the monuments phsyically relate to each other. The square and compass basic could tie into the square symbol/number 9 i posted about last time. Maybe an offshoot of the freemasons is involved here?

Everything about these Vanished clips points to a secret society or some sort of creepy culty government thing. The church images, the images of the constitution, one of the YouTube vids shows Senator Collins involved in some sort of weirdo ritual.

There's lots and lots in the wiki about this, ill revisit it soon, but Vanished premieres Monday and finally- we'll have so much more to go on! Can't wait. Setting my dvr so i can freeze frame stuff to talk about. 9/8c peeps- check it.

The Symbol

So I've been watching the promo clips from the commercials/on YouTube alot lately. I decided to look into that symbol. (Freeze frame: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Lwaoi2UlhSM this at 13 seconds.) It looks like a 9 or a square with a long edge. Wondering if it had any significance, I went looking up symbols.

It looks just like an ancient rune, but doesn't match any that I can find. There are a few that are just a little tweak away. Ancient Runes all have meanings like "Bliss" and "Fertility," but in a wider sense (like how greek gods are associated with wider, overarching concepts.) Can anyone recognize this symbol?

I've also been working on sharpening the letter (not the constitution) we see in that same video, but I can't make anything out. Frustrating. But Vanished premieres in just 10 days, so we wont' have to wait too muchlonger for TONS more clues. Woot.

Who is Nathan?

So from the video and the stills, I keep seeing the prayer card for Nathan. Not being a particulalry religious guy, I had to look Nathan up online to see what this was about.

Wikipedia gave me the ol' runaround, circularly linking to entries that didn't really have all that much information. Googling helped though. This was interesting however.

Apparently, Nathan is a prophet who appeared in a few other biblical tales and may have authored a "lost" book of the Old Testament. Apparently, this passage is common and important

"Nathan said to David, "You are the man!" Thus says The Lord, the God of Israel, 'I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul; and I gave you your master's house, and your master's wives into your bosom, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah; and if this were too little, I would add to you as much more. Why have you despised the word of The Lord, to do what is evil in His sight? You have smitten Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the Ammonites." (2 Samuel 12:1-9 RSV)

He speaks out against murder and adultery which could be interesting plot points. Maybe David will be comparable to Senator Collins and we can get a whole parallel biblical plot line. Nathan also seems like an ethical regulator, which could fit with the FBI role of the cop Nathan in Vanished.

Does anyone more religious know about this?

Mystery Stills

A few days ago, somebody sent me an email with some attachments that look like they're from Vanished- I think they're stills from the videos, maybe?

Again, these are pretty polished, probably planted by Fox, but they definatley gave me some new ideas about Vanished.

The pictures are of:
- A ring, the bottom of the sleeve looks relgious or old fashioned in some way
- A Prayer Card in a bible or an old book- the card says Nathan on it and the book looks like it's maybe from Ecclesiastes [sic, i'm sure]
- A hooded figure
- A bronze bust of george washingotn
- The Declaration of Independence
- A goblet and an aged bible
- A man kneeling in some sort of ceremony or altar
- an old an dgilded bible

So if this imagery has to do with Vanished, I suppose there's going to be a church and/or goverment conspiracy of some sort? What do you think? I remember seeing 15 minutes of something on the discovery channel about the free masons and how they built our goverment. The layout of DC was actually based on a symbol- a compass and a bow, I think? I'll wiki this later and see if it ties in here.

I think some of these match the YouTube video. I'm going to start screengrabbing that next week when some personal things clear out and see if we can get some more images to analyze.

Thoughts on Nathan? Free Masons? Has anyone noticed things in these image that I haven't?

Planted Vanished Sites

Someone sent me a link to this site. http://www.world-cable-news.com/

While it's clearly a thinly veiled promo for Vanished, i'm psyced for the idea that there could be more stuff like this out there. I've looked through the code and moused-over everything looking for hints. I can only find three things- the link to Senator Colins website and links to the two videos- the Judy/Sarah interview and the Senator Colins acceptance speech.

I also wonder if the headlines on the page reveal anything. "Three found guilty in "Revenge" Murder" and the "Deadbeat Dad has his day in court" might tie in eventually. Onto the Senator Colins site: http://www.senatorcolins.com/

Even less info here- the only links that are hot link to Fox.com or back to World Cable News. However, there are lots of links that Fox's stealth marketing team can update in the future.

But if we've learned anything from LOST, it's that these sites can change over time. I'm going to keep checking them and reporting back. Share anything you find in the comments
